Access control lets you decide who goes where, and take that permission away without changing a lock. We install and maintain systems for offices, industrial units, gyms, clinics, schools and residential buildings across Manchester and North West England.
Systems range from a single door on a keypad to a network of doors with fobs, time restrictions and a record of entries. We size it to the building and the way you actually manage keys today.

Scoping access control
- List the doors you want to control, and who should be able to use each one.
- Decide whether you need a record of who came and went, or just controlled entry.
- Consider how you manage people leaving. Removing a fob is quick; recovering copied keys is not.
- Door hardware matters as much as the reader — frame type, door weight, glazing and whether the door is on an escape route.
- Anything on an escape route must release correctly in a fire, so access control and the fire alarm need to be planned together.

Common questions
Fobs, codes or phone-based entry — which is better?
Codes are simplest but get shared and rarely changed. Fobs and cards let you remove one person's access without affecting anyone else. Phone credentials suit teams who always have their phone but need a fallback for visitors. Many sites mix them by door.
Can access control doors still be used as fire exits?
Yes, but the release arrangement has to be right for that door. Free mechanical exit, emergency break-glass units and a release signal from the fire alarm are all used depending on the situation. We plan this with your fire alarm rather than treating the doors in isolation.
Can you add doors to a system we already have?
Usually, if the existing controller has capacity and the readers are still supported. We will check what is installed first and tell you plainly if extending it would cost more than replacing it.
