Intruder alarms
We install and maintain intruder alarm systems for houses, flats, offices, shops, workshops and warehouses throughout Manchester and North West England. The aim is a system you will actually use every day: quick to set, clear to understand, and free of the nuisance activations that make people stop arming it.
We also take over existing alarms. If your current system still has life in it, replacing a panel or a few detectors is often a better use of your money than starting again.

Choosing the right alarm
- Decide what the alarm is protecting: the whole building, a stock room, or a boundary and outbuildings as well.
- Think about how you use the space. Part-setting matters if people sleep upstairs or staff work late in one area.
- Wireless suits occupied and finished buildings where cabling would be disruptive. Wired suits new work and larger sites. Many jobs end up as a mix.
- Consider who should be told when it activates — just you and a keyholder by app, or a monitoring arrangement.
- If you have pets, tell us early. Detector type and mounting height matter more than anything else for avoiding false activations.

Common questions
Will a wireless alarm be less reliable than a wired one?
Modern wireless systems are well suited to occupied buildings and use monitored radio links, so the panel knows if a device stops reporting. The practical difference is battery replacement over time. Wired systems avoid batteries but need cable routes, which is why they suit buildings under refurbishment.
Can I keep my old alarm and just upgrade part of it?
Often yes. We can look at whether your existing cabling, sounder and detectors can be reused with a new panel. If the existing kit is unreliable or unsupported we will explain what we can and cannot carry over before you commit.
How do I stop false alarms?
Most nuisance activations come from detector choice and placement — a sensor facing a sunlit window, a heater, a hanging sign, or a pet with access to a protected room. Getting those details right at survey stage removes the majority of them, and we will walk the building with you rather than guess.
