Fire alarm systems
We install and upgrade fire alarm systems in commercial and residential buildings across Manchester and North West England — offices, shops, HMOs, blocks of flats, warehouses, salons, gyms and light industrial units. Detection is only useful if it suits the building, so we look at layout, occupancy and escape routes before proposing anything.

How a system gets scoped
- The building's use and who is in it comes first — sleeping occupants, public access and lone working all change what is appropriate.
- The level of coverage should follow the findings of the fire risk assessment for that building, not a fixed template.
- Building size and cable routes decide whether a conventional, addressable or wireless system is practical.
- Existing systems are worth assessing before replacing. Extending a sound panel is often the sensible route.
- Interfaces matter: door holders, access control releases and shutters need to behave correctly when the alarm operates.

Common questions
Do I definitely need a fire alarm system?
Not every building needs the same thing. What is appropriate depends on the building, its use and the findings of its fire risk assessment — some small premises are adequately served by simpler arrangements, while others need full detection throughout. We will look at your building rather than assume.
Can a fire alarm be installed without disruption?
In an occupied or finished building, wireless detection avoids most of the cutting and chasing. Where a wired system is the right answer we plan cable routes around trading hours and can phase the work floor by floor.
Who is responsible for keeping it working?
The responsible person for the building is. Fire safety equipment needs to be kept in working order and staff need to know what to do — GOV.UK sets out those maintenance and training duties. In practice that means routine in-house checks by you, plus periodic servicing, which we can carry out.
